Activities for your Reception
There are several activities that you can have at your reception, including line dances like the Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle or Macarena, and other group dances such as the Hokey Pokey and Chicken Dance. The Limbo, the Bunny Hop and the Conga Line are also fun activities for your guests.
Children at Receptions
Children tend to run the dance floor during events, and while they are obviously having a great time, it can make it difficult for the Bride and Groom during reception events such as the first dance, bouquet/garter toss and bridal dance. It also can keep guests off the dance floor out of fear of tripping over the little ones.
If you are inviting children to your reception may we offer a few tips and tricks to keep them entertained.
* A childrens table with coloring books, crayons and toys, to give the children something else to do.
* Employ a couple of childrens attendants and ask them to take shifts during the reception.
* Before the Bouquet Toss have a candy toss just for the kiddies!
* During all of the events of the reception (First Dance, Bouquet/Garter Toss, Cake Cutting etc.) Make a circle of chairs facing what's happening and ask them to sit in their special seats and watch!
Elite Street Productions will do everything to make your eventrun smoothly so that everyone has a great time!
